Classification of Vessel Steel Profiles

1. General strength structural steel

The most common type of marine steel is AH32, AH36, DH32, DH36, etc. The chemical composition of this type of steel is mainly carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, and sulfur, and it has good weldability, corrosion resistance, and mechanical properties. Widely used in ship structure, such as hull, superstructure, deck, etc.

2. High strength structural steel

Common materials include EH32, EH36, FH32, FH36, etc. This type of steel has superior strength, toughness, and welding performance compared to general strength structural steel, and its usage is generally relatively small. Suitable for parts that need to withstand large loads, such as high-strength ship structures, servos, etc.

3. Light marine structural steel

Light marine structural steel refers to lighter steel compared to general structural steel, commonly used materials include A, B, D, E, etc. This type of steel has fewer grades and a relatively small scope of application. It is mostly used for the construction of smaller ships and is less commonly used in large ships.

4. Corrosion-resistant steel

Common materials include CCSA, CCSB, CCSC, etc. This type of steel has better rust resistance and is suitable for the bottom, bow, rudder, and hull of ships.
