Elevator guide rails must withstand the dynamic loads and impacts of the elevator car; the choice of material directly affects operational stability and lifespan. Currently, the mainstream materials include:
1. Carbon structural steel: such as Q235B, low cost and easy to process, tensile strength ≥370MPa (GB/T 700-2006), but requires the use of an anti-rust coating.
2. T-shaped guide rail special steel: such as 55Q or 60Q, carbon content 0.55%-0.65% (GB/T 22562-2008), hardness reaching HB 140-160, wear resistance superior to ordinary steel.
3. Stainless steel composite guide rails: outer layer of 304 stainless steel (thickness ≥1.5mm) combined with a carbon steel substrate, resistant to moisture and chemical corrosion, suitable for hospitals and marine environments.
Special Material Selection:
1. Low-temperature environments (below -30℃): Low-alloy steel such as Q345D is selected, with an impact energy ≥34J (GB/T 1591-2018) to avoid cold brittle fracture.
2. High-rise elevators: The guide rails need to be spliced in sections, and the joint strength must reach more than 90% of the base material. Ultrasonic testing is used to detect internal defects.
